Oscar Balcells

Oscar is a visiting undergraduate student at Texas A&M. He is currently coursing two bachelor degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (BarcelonaTech) in Barcelona, Spain.

Oscar is carrying out his BSc Final Thesis at the SEAK Lab. His work focuses on building an anomaly treatment skill for Daphne, a Cognitive Assistant developed at this research group. The aim of such skill is to assess astronauts in long duration space missions in order to detect, diagnose and treat anomalies that might arouse during flight.

In the short term, Oscar aims to continue his academic career by taking a MSc in an Aerospace Engineering related field.

Outside academia, Oscar loves outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking and snowboarding, among other. He is also a passionate reader.
